InThermal uses the same common database as other INERTIA programs. WithINERTIA's integrated database and conceptual modeling, differentengineering teams can work on the same model for different objectives.Objectives could be heat transfer (thermal), thermal stress, andmechanical load analysis. Materials can be both isotropic or orthotropicin nature. Material properties can be taken from a library of commonly-used engineering materials or be user-defined.Conduction, convection, and radiation heat generation, and temperatureheat transfer processes can all be graphically modeled. Boundary andnodal load conditions include convection, radiation, heat flux, elementand nodal heat generation, and prescribed nodal temperatures. Heattransfer load conditions are assigned interactively with the use of amouse. A graphical representation of each load assignment allows forrapid verification of the load conditions.
